Understanding Your Reactions

A Self-Assessment for Moms of Explosive Boys

Are your own reactions making your son's meltdowns harder to navigate? This free self-assessment helps you understand what's getting triggered in you during the hard moments and how your history may be shaping your responses in ways you haven't fully recognized yet.

Questions I Get All the Time

  • Who do you work with?

I work with moms of explosive toddler to teen boys in New York and Florida. These are mothers who feel like nothing is working — behavioral therapy, consequences and rewards, ADHD medication, parenting books — and are still dealing with intense meltdowns that nothing seems to fix. I also offer child therapy for explosive boys and family therapy when the conflict is affecting the whole home. We can talk about what makes the most sense for your situation during a consultation.

  • How do sessions work?

All sessions are online. You can join from wherever you have privacy — no commute, no waiting room, no scheduling around school pickup. Sessions are approximately one hour. Most clients start with weekly sessions, particularly early in the work when consistency creates the most momentum. As things stabilize, we can talk about adjusting the frequency together.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with select insurance plans in New York and Florida. If I'm out of network with your carrier, I can provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Sessions are $200. We can talk through your options during a free consultation.

  • How do I get started?

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We'll talk about what's happening with your son, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to get out of the work. I'll explain how trauma-informed therapy addresses explosive behavior at the root and answer any questions you have. No pressure. Just a direct conversation about whether this is the right fit.
